Triple 9 (2016) Review

Triple 9 (2016)

Rating: 7/10
Director: John Hillcoat
Writer: Matt Cook

This film is about corruption that is taking place by police officers. The crew are blackmailed by a Russian mob to achieve execution and an impossible heist. If this is your type of film, where action and gore is taking place most parts throughout the film... then carry on reading. The film was pretty good, it shows a father who is willing to go to the dark places in order to see his son. However nothing ever seems to be good enough. This film is actually much better than I expected it to be, although more gore would have been great personally. Lots of action and questionable "teamwork". This film genre is based on crime and thriller, showing how the world can be much darker. The film expresses how it can take only one day for a country to become in danger and for the police to not know why and when this will happen. This film involves a gang with corrupt police officers planning the biggest heist and plan the murder of a police officer. The location for this film is set in America, where it shows how being able to have a gun can be extremely dangerous. The film is dark and gloomy, but still highly recommended!

I really enjoyed watching Casey Affleck, who played Chris Allen, Woody Harrelson, who played Jeffry Allen and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who played Michael Atwood.

Greed and revenge is found throughout Triple 9.

As always,

Hit That Film!
