Hit That Film!

The characters that stood out:

While watching the film Macbeth, in the cinema there was not much high expectations. However I was completely pleasantly surprised on how interesting this film was. Macbeth is an iconic film that should be watched at some point in your life, the new or the old this is still a must watch film. From witnessing the low key lighting scenes and watching the tension created throughout it has definitely become one of the must watch of the year. From characters wanting to run away from the tragedy that has been brought forward, to the true love connection between the main protagonist and his wife has all elements of beauty in each scene.

The low key lighting adds great tension towards the film, with various close ups when needed. The film runs so smoothly that is it hard to criticise anything throughout. On the other hand when looking at criticisms, one would be at for the introduction of the film. The film takes awhile to get into and it can be hard to understand why certain things are happening in each scene. There is also a part in the film where a conversation is happening and the camera then changes to make us believe that the characters have swapped places. This gives us confusion as it no longer seems realistic during the scene. Due to this happening it would be thought that the tension would of dropped, however this could not be more wrong... The best part of the film for me personally was the last scene, the fights, the determination and the power that all protagonist crave makes us as an audience engage more deeply and get exactly what we want.

The music and extras for sounds have made every moment realistic, the sad moments and defiantly come across as sad. When engaged in the danger that is happening in the film, the music that is put in for better effects has definitely been done perfect timing.

This is without a doubt a must watch!
