Film response: Whiplash (2014)
Rating: 7.9 /10
Whiplash is one film that I had been wanting to see for awhile. This film is about a young boy in his first year of studying music. The main protagonist is a passionate jazz drummer that is determined to become the best he can possibly be. The film shows how when having a dream you should do whatever it is you can do to make it work. All is not over until you quit. The main protagonist is called Andrew Neiman and shows that dreams can be achieved if you try... Hard enough. The film is very touching and has a great story in every element. I found myself being truly engaged with every part, hoping that the main protagonist will achieve. Whether you enjoy drumming or not, this film will help influence you to stay focus and follow your dreams. The only issue with this film I had was that it felt the film went so quickly and that some scenes happen so soon.
